Completion of ten years of democracy good omen for country: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says completion of ten years of democracy in the country is a good omen.
Addressing at roundtable on strengthening skills: A national investment for tackling youth unemployment in Islamabad today, she said the democracy strengthens the system of the country and its continuity is very essential in this regard.
She said our youth is our big asset but if it will not be used then this asset will become a liability.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the government has made lot of contributions towards empowerment of the youth.
Earlier, speaking at a ceremony in the context of World Thalassemia Day, she said that Thalassemia is a preventable disease that demands changing the behavior and attitude.
She emphasized the need for creating proper awareness in term of Thalassemia. She said awareness programs will be started at Radio Pakistan and PTV to inform the public about Thalassemia.
She also urged the private media to play its due role for creating proper awareness regarding Thalassemia through launching different programs in this effect. AP
