WASHINGTON:US President Donald Trump has signed controversial orders imposing heavy tariffs on steel and aluminium.
According to the details, 25 percent tariffs on steel imports while 10 percent for aluminium will be imposed.
Major trade groups say the tariffs will lead to higher costs for businesses and could spark a broader trade war.
Meanwhile, 11 countries including Japan and Canada have signed a landmark Asia-Pacific trade agreement without United States. APP/AFP
