Railways Police foil bid to smuggle hashish, arrest six women

KARACHI:Pakistan Railways Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle 72kg hashish from Lahore to Karachi by Allama
Iqbal Express train and arrested six women involved in the smuggling.
It was informed by Superintendent of Pakistan Railways Police Malik Ateeq here on Thursday while addressing a press conference at Karachi City Station.

He said that smugglers are using women for their nefarious designs.
The SP said that the arrested women are identified as Quaser wife of Mohammad Mushtaq, Saba Pareveen wife of Sajid Javid,Salma bibi wife of Ghanser Mohammad, Fouzia Akber wife of Akber Shah, Majeed Bibi wife of Rahmat Ali and Azra wife of Fayaz.

He said that the police took action on a tip-off.He added that an FIR has been lodged and further investigation is underway. APP/AFP
