Pakistan opens new trade route with Afghanistan after 4 Years

PESHAWAR - The Ghulam Khan check post in North Waziristan Agency was reopened on Friday for bilateral trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to political administration of North Waziristan Agency, several vehicles loaded with trade goods proceeded to Afghanistan via Ghulam Khan border check post on Friday.

The Ghulam Khan crossing point was closed for traffic when Pakistan army launched operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in 2014.

The security forces and local administration have finalized all arrangements to provide security to the trade convoys.
