Israel is razing Palestinian buildings at an alarmingly high rate: UN Report

ISLAMABAD: United Nations report described that Palestinian homes and other buildings are being demolished by Israeli forces at an alarming rate. The buildings and homes were constructed with International aid.
As per details, a large number of buildings has been destroyed by forces so far this year as compared to previous ye 2015. According to UN figures, total 121 structures funded by international donors had been destroyed by Israel in the occupied west bank between Jan 1 to March 2, surpassing the 108 from 2015.
Homes for Palestinians, at least one school and temporary structure such as pens for animals and sheds are included in the projects.
UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Palestinian territories Robert Piper has written a letter in response to a query saying that there is alarming situation in Palestine regarding demolitions.
“We have already surpassed the total number of humanitarian aid items destroyed or confiscated in all of 2015, in just the first 10 weeks of 2016,” Piper said.
