Pakistan-Russia to vow for close regional security ties in Nawaz-Putin meeting: Russian Media

ISLAMABAD – Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of a two-day summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

During the meeting, Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations and regional situation would be discussed, Russian media reported.

“There will be no formal meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi,” reported Indian media.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization will focus on the SCO development, the fight against terrorism and the situation in the Middle East and Afghanistan, while the central event is the formal accession of India and Pakistan as the organization’s full-fledged members.
