*The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday again summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Asif’s wife Mussarat Asif and son Khawaja Asad Asif in a private housing scheme scam.*
According to the reports, the corruption watchdog body asked the political leader’s family to make appearances for questioning. They have been called over to the NAB office with required documents today.
Charges leveled against the minister and his family pertains to embezzling millions in the garb of a housing scheme. The investigations started after victims claiming losses came forward with complaints against the minister with regards to the fraudulent scheme.
On June 27, the NAB has summoned Khawaja Asif’s wife and son in alleged fraud in private housing scheme, Sialkot. The wife and son of Khawaja Asif will be interrogated about the scam of billions rupees in private housing scheme.
They have been summoned due to complaints submitted by the residents of Sialkot. The residents claimed that they took billions of rupees but not provided the plots in private housing scheme as per commitments.
