PPP was first to raise South Punjab province demand in parliament: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, arrived in Khangarh city of South Punjab’s Muzaffargarh district on Sunday during his ‘Karachi to Khyber’ election campaign.

He was hosted by PPP candidate Nawabzada Iftikhar, the son of senior political leader (late) Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.

Bilawal addressed a huge public gathering in Khangarh and offered Fateha at the grave of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.

“PPP was the first party to raise the demand of South Punjab in parliament. Those who were opposing the idea of a separate province have changed their stance,” said Bilawal.

The chairman PPP said his party will continue the struggle for democracy like Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.

He was accompanied by PPP South Punjab leaders Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Noor Rabbani Khar, Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed, Mahar Irshad Siyal, Shazia Abid and others. APP
