Pakistan Italy decide to enhance bilateral defence ties

ISLAMABAD - Caretaker Minister for Defence Production, Lt. General (Retd) Naeem Khalid Lodhi has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Italy.
He was talking to Ambassador of Italy Stefano Pontecorvo who called on him along with a delegation in Rawalpindi on Monday.
Minister expressed satisfaction on the establishment of “Pak-Italy Joint Committee on Defence systems”, which will further promote the defence collaboration between the two countries.
The Minister said Pakistan there is a lot of potential in Pakistan in the fields of energy, defence production and trade which needs to be explored.
During the meeting both the sides stressed the need to enhance cooperation in the field of defence production.
They also agreed on regular exchange of high level visits between both the countries.
