NAB to airlift Nawaz Sharif through helicopter from Lahore Airport: Report

LAHORE – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday decided to shift former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz to Adiala Jail through helicopter from the airport.
The anti-graft watchdog’s Lahore Director General Shahzad Saleem has written a letter to Bureau chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal stating that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz should be shifted to adiala jail from airport soon after they return to Lahore.
The letter further stated that the accountability court judge will also be invited to jail to oversee arrangements.
On the other hand, Lahore police has made stringent security arrangements in case the arrest could not be made at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
