CHAKWAL: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the case that started against him from Panama leaks ended with an Iqama verdict.
Talking to media at the memorial reference of Chaudhry Liaquat Ali in Chakwal, he said: “I have not embezzled a single penny from the national exchequer.”
Nawaz Sharif said that his disqualification became the reason of chaos in the country, adding that those who announced verdict in his case should be asked if situation is getting worse.
Further taking a jibe at the judiciary, he said that it was an ‘insult’ to 200 million people of Pakistan that their elected leader was unceremoniously ousted with a single stroke of pen.
The ex-PM recalled how his family was not allowed to visit Pakistan for seven years.
