Balochistan CM telephones Nawaz Sharif, discusses no-confidence motion

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Sanaullah Zehri has on Sunday telephoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters relating to no-confidence motion.

During the telephonic conversation, the Balochistan chief minister sought ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif’s help over the no-confidence motion.

The vote on the no-confidence motion will be held on January 9 (Tuesday).

The ruling PML-N along with allies Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) and National Party has increased efforts to foil the no-confidence motion.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to visit Quetta soon along with ministers to persuade disgruntled PML-N leaders to support Sanaullah Zehri.

Meanwhile, another minister of the Balochistan government Sheikh Jaffar Mandukhel has decided to resign from his post.

Sheikh Jaffar Mandukhel is in Saudi Arabia now a days to perform Umrah.
