Zalmi, Karachi Kings and Islamabad United forced to shuffle squads ahead of PSL 8

Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings and Islamabad United have all been forced to reshuffle their squads merely days out from the opening game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
The teams have been forced into changes due to their players’ commitments to their international squads with several participants set to be called up to national team duties.
It is understood that all franchises were well aware of the issue beforehand with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB link) even conducting a supplementary draft link to deal with the issue.
Teams still left with openings have now finally completed the process.
Islamabad United link, who will be without the services of MOeen Ali until March 14th due to his England commitments, have drafted in South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen as his partial replacement after reserving their choice in the supplementary draft.
Karachi Kings link have acquired the services of Adam Rossington as a partial replacement for James Vince who will miss Karachi’s 7th, 8th and 9th match after being named in England’s ODI squad for the Bangladesh series.
Peshawar Zalmi, link meanwhile, will have to make do without Mujeeb-ur-Rehman in PSL 8 until the 19th of February and has chosen to select Australia’s Peter Hatzoglou as his partial replacement after previously reserving their replacement pick in the Replacement Draft.
Season 8 of the Pakistan Super League will commence on February 13th with the final set to take place on March 19th. link
