Afghan Intelligence NDS key officer killed in Kabul: Report

KABUL - Unidentified gunmen have shot dead an officer of the National Directorate of Security (NDS link) in Kabul, an official said on Saturday.

Mohibullah Sharifzai, Maidan Wardak governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Qala-i-Kashif area on Friday evening.

Unknown gunmen killed Feroz, serving in Maidan Wardak province. Feroz was the brother of the special forces commander and police chief for Chak district.

As usual, the Taliban link claimed responsibility for the killing of the intelligence officer. Zabihullah Mujahid, the group’s spokesman, said Feroz was serving as commander of a special forces unit.
