GB govt welcomes approval of Glacier Lake outburst floods project by PM

ISLAMABAD:Minister Forest Wildlife and Environment Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Imran has welcomed approval of second phase of Glacier Lake outburst floods project by the Prime Minister and allocation of 4 billion rupees for the project.
Talking to Radio Pakistan Gilgit correspondent on Thursday, he said that the allocated amount would be spent in fifteen districts including ten of Gilgit-Baltistan and five situated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the project would go a long way in safe guarding the people living in vulnerable areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and KP from the dangerous lakes, rivers and ravines.APP/AFP
