West Indies defeat Pakistan by 5 wickets in U-19 World Cup





DHAKA: West Indies Cricket team has qualified for semi-final after defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in U-19 World Cup. West Indian team will play sem-final against Bangladesh. 

 

As per details, the last quarter final was played between Pakistan and West Indies here at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah in Dhaka. Pakistani team won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan scored 227 runs in 50 overs.

 

Pakistani batsmen could not play well and lost first 5 wickets at just 57 runs but after that Umair Masood and Salman Fiayz played very well and made partnership of 164 runs for 6th wicket. 

 

Umair Masood scored century with the help of 2 sixes and 15 fours while Salman Fiayz scored 50 runs.

 

In reply, West Indian team played very well and achieved the target of 227 runs in 40 overs. Hetmyer scored 52 runs and Imlach made 54 runs and West Indies won the match.
