Supreme Court stays execution of three APS convicts awarded by Military court

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has halted the implementation on the executions of three convicts who were involved in APS attacks. The convicts were awarded death sentence by military court.


As per details, a two-member bench headed by Justice Dost Muhammad heard the plea of Ali Rehman, Sakhi Muhammad and Qari Zubair Muhammad against the verdict of death penalty of military court.


They took plea in Supreme Court that they filed petition in Peshawar High Court but their petition was not heard by Peshawar HC.


Justice Dost Muhammad issued notice to Attorney General and JAG branch of Pak Army. SC also directed Attorney Gen. to inform court over the breakthrough on petitions and suspended the execution till February 16.


It is also worthy to mention here that Ali Rehman, Sakhi Muhammad and Qari Zubair were awarded death sentence by military court over their involvement in APS attacks.
