Pakistan Hockey Team defeats India in South Asian Games



NEW DELHI: Pakistan defeated India in men’s hockey event at the 12th  South Asian Games held in Guwahati.

 

Pakistan scored two consecutive goals while India could score only one.

 

Fareed Ahmed scored first goal for Pakistan in the 11th minute and Muhammad Arslan Qadir made the second one in 37th minute.

 

India tried its best to come back in game but could score only one goal in 2nd half by Indian Captain Mandeep Antil.

 

India suffered a 1-2 defeat by its arch-rival Pakistan.

 

Pakistan had also defeated Sri Lanka in the first match of event.

 

The match was played in Maullana Tayabulla Stadium Guwahati.
