Pakistan - India foreign ministers letters diplomacy over LoC violations
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan says India is showing obstinacy and is not cooperating on the issue of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and Working Boundary.

This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal while commenting on the letter written by Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj in response to Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif's letter.

The Spokesperson said India is not allowing the United Nations Military Observer Group for India and Pakistan to monitor the situation along the Line of Control and Working Boundary.
He said in the letter written by Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, India was asked to stop ceasefire violations. He said the letter by Pakistan was aimed at preventing the loss of precious lives along the Line of Control.

The Spokesperson said this year India violated ceasefire agreement for more than thirteen hundred times which is highest in last fifteen years.
