Pakistan achieves yet another milestone in indigenous defence production
KARACHI - Maritime patrol vessel PMSS ZHOB has been formally commissioned to Pakistan Navy.
A ceremony to this effect was held at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Staff (Personnel) Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem said manufacturing of the ship jointly by Pakistan and China is yet another milestone in evergreen friendship between the two countries.
He said the vessel will not only enhance operational capability of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency but will also go a long way in protecting national jurisdiction and rich natural resources of Pakistan's territorial waters.
Vice Admiral said it will play a vital role towards achieving self-reliance in defence production.
