India officially responds to news of invitations from Pakistan for PM oath taking ceremony

NEWDELHI:India has officially responded over the issue of invitations to any Indian national for oath taking ceremony of expected Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
Indiasaid it had not received anyrequest from anyone in the country forattending the swearing-in of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan asPakistan Prime Minister.
“We have not received any suchrequest,” Ministry of External Affairsspokesperson Raveesh Kumar said inresponse to a query at a media briefing,according to Hindustan Times.
“I have read in the media that somepeople have said that if they go they willseek MEA’s advice,” Kumar said. “Ifthey approach us, then we will decidewhat advice to give.”
Earlier, there were reports that Khanwould be inviting some of his fellowcricketers from India and as well asBollywood stars but nothing has beenconfirmed.
