AJK cabinet: Inaugural session held in Muzzafarabad

MIRPUR (AJK) (APP): The newly-inducted nine-member AJK cabinet held in its inaugural session with Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan in the chair here on Sunday.
The cabinet expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for giving an opportunity to the PML-N to serve the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Through various unanimously-opted cabinet resolutions in the session, the Azad Kashmir cabinet thanked the people of AJK for giving Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) two-third majority in the elections which was full confidence in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Kashmir policy and his vision for development of AJK.
Cabinet highly appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to Muzaffarabad after his health recovery and congratulated him on successful heart surgery and declared his visit as great posture of love for the people of Kashmir.
The Cabinet congratulated Raja Farooq Haider on becoming Prime Minister and posed full confidence in his sincere leadership and commitment for welfare of the people of the State.
Cabinet thanked federal ministers for ensuring good cooperation for holding peaceful elections, also appreciated the brilliant role of Election Commission, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Army, Punjab & KPK police and civil administration for fool proof arrangements for conducting free and fair elections on
July 21.
Cabinet also appreciated the Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali's speech at SAARC Interior Ministers conference at Islamabad supporting just cause of Kashmiris and condemning human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
The AJ&K Cabinet condemned the killing of innocent civilians and brutal acts of terrorism in occupied Kashmir particularly after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani and reaffirmed the commitment of the AJK government to utilize its full energies and resources for the liberation of the occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
The Cabinet assured the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) that they will never find themselves alone in their struggle for right to self-determination.
The Cabinet applauded the people of occupied Kashmir for showing love, affection and commitment with Pakistan by raising and waving Pakistani flags despite massive Indian forces presence.
The Cabinet praised Hurriyat Leadership's role in leading freedom struggle against India.
The Cabinet urged the international community to press India to fulfill its pledges of giving Kashmiris their right to self determination accordance with United Nations resolutions.
It was also demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and in the Occupied territory.
Cabinet highly appreciated the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's medical treatment offer to victims of violence by occupation forces in Occupied Kashmir.
Cabinet paid rich tribute to sacrifice of Shaheed Burhan Wani for noble cause and praised the commitment and perseverance of senior Hurriat leaders Syed Ali Gillani,Mir Waiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik in freedom struggle.
The Cabinet also adopted another resolution appreciating the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for highlighting the Kashmir issue and supporting Kashmiris right to self-determination at national and international forums.
The Cabinet declared it as an encouraging initiative to resolve the longstanding issue of Kashmir. Cabinet thanked the Pakistani nation for observing black day on July 20 against the brutalities of Indian army in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Cabinet appreciated the determination of Pakistan Army in counter terrorism and the successful operation in various fields.
Cabinet condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for initiating agitation movement in month of "Azadi" (August) and appealed to the political forces not to join hands with Imran Khan who starts movement in the month of independence every year not letting the people of Pakistan to celebrate "Jashan e Azadi" and as per their wishes.
Imran Khan only promotes negative politics of division and hate in the country, it concluded.
