In a new development, Cyber Crime Wing being established to curb digital technology frauds in Pakistan

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Dr. Sania Nishtar has approved the formation of the Cyber Crime Wing.
“In order to protect the interests of Ehsaas beneficiaries, I have directed the management to expedite the establishment of the “Cyber Crime Wing” in BISP (Benazir Income Support Program) for the purpose of preventing and controlling incidents where criminal elements commit fraud using digital technology,” said Nishtar in a tweet post on Tuesday.
The Cyber Crime Wing will be set up in BISP with the aim of using digital technology in cracking down on the corrupt elements who fool the masses with deception and forgery.
Nishtar directed Ehsas Management to complete the process of formation of this wing as soon as possible.
In another development, the government has opened the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Portal for the submission of online scholarship applications for the academic year 2020-21. Nishtar said that the portal will remain open till the 30th of next month.
