Pakistan faces a setback at the U-19 Asia Cup 2019

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan was dropped out of semi-finals after their second consecutive defeat in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.

Chasing a target of 306 in the match played at the Tyrann Fernando Stadium Moratuwa, Pakistan were dismissed for 245 in 46.4 overs. Captain Rohail Nazir scored 117 runs. Apart from him Abdulbangzai scored 15, Mohammad Amir 12 and Naseem Shah were able to enter double figures with 11 runs. Atharwa schoolboy 3 and Vidyadar Patel dismissed 2 players.

Earlier, Indian skipper Dhora Chand Jurel decided to bat first, the team scored 305 for 9 in the stipulated 50 overs, and opener Sweed Parker was dismissed for 3 after a total score of 38. An 183-run partnership between Azad and Thakur Tilak Verma brought the team to 221, Arjun Azad scored 121 and Thakur Talak Verma scored 110, the last eight wickets fell in just 73 runs.
