LAHORE : Pakistan’s first metro train will be inaugurated on Sunday (today) in Lahore , Samaa reported.
With the state-of-the-art engine and bogies, the international standard Orange Line metro train will be shown to the public today.
Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and many known personalities will attend the inauguration ceremony.
Two engines and three bogies of the Orange Line train project have been brought to Lahore for the first phase.
Under the project, 27 trains will be imported in which 23 of them will arrive by the end of this year.
Over 0.2 million people will be able to travel comfortably daily once the project is completed.
officials stated that the train can complete 2.5 hours of journey in just 45 minutes.
