Water-sharing issue among provinces will be resolved amicably: NA informed

The National Assembly was informed that policy regarding Hajj 2019 will be devised in three months.
This was informed by Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, while responding to a question during Question Hour.
The Minister said the process for formulation of Hajj policy and Plan 2019 has been initiated. He said decision regarding Hajj dues to be collected per Haji will be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders including the designated airlines in due course of time and the House will be informed accordingly.
Responding to another question, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government are committed to develop Pakistan on the pattern of the State of Madina.
The Minister said dialogue among various religious communities of Pakistan is vital for interfaith harmony in the country. He said the government is planning to organize an international interfaith harmony conference next year.
Minister of State for Housing and Works Shabbir Ali informed the House that the government is committed to provide housing facilities to the people under Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme. He said initially this program has been launched in some districts of Pakistan as a pilot project, but it will be expanded to other districts in the next phase. He said expansion of scheme will be undertaken after due consultation.
Responding to a calling attention notice, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda assured that concerns of Sindh regarding non-provision of water according to 1991 water accord will be addressed.
He said 58 percent water theft has been reported in Karachi and the issue will be addressed in consultation with the Sindh government. He said a third party neutral audit of water theft can also be arranged.
The Minister said that concerns of other provinces over water issue will also be addressed on priority basis.
Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has rejected the impression that data of all bank accounts of Pakistan has been hacked.
Responding to a point of order raised by Abdul Qadir Patel, he said only one account of Bank Islami has been hacked and the State Bank of Pakistan is looking into the matter.
Parliamentary Secretary on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Nausheen Hamid said that PIMS and Polyclinic hospitals of Islamabad have separate psychiatry departments.
Responding to a question, thirty-nine thousand patients for mental disorders have been registered at PIMS since 2017.
Speaking on a point of order MMA leader Maulana Abdul Wasay criticized the tendency of maligning religious people.
He said religious parties and their leadership had played a pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan and keeping the country united. He said no religious person is involved in any kind of corruption. He said no Islamic seminary is involved in terrorism. He urged the government to file a review petition in the Supreme Court in Aasia Bibi case.
Speaking on another point of order, PTI leader Ramesh Kumar Vankwani invited parliamentarians to join him at his residence in Islamabad tonight to celebrate Diwali festival. He said all parliamentary leaders and heads of political parties should attend the event to make it celebrations for the progress and prosperity of entire Pakistan.
PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, on a point of order, urged the chair to form a special committee of the House to investigate into the allegations leveled by Faisal Vawda regarding theft of water share of Sindh and Balochistan. He said the chair can also refer this matter to the concerned standing committee of the National Assembly.
