Pak-Iran close relations imperative for regional peace: NA Speaker

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that close friendly relations between Pakistan and Iran are imperative for regional peace, security and prosperity.

He expressed these views while talking to Ambassador of Iran, Mehdi Honardoost who called on him in Islamabad today.

The Speaker said Pakistan values its brotherly relations with Iran and incumbent Government desires to further strengthen relations between two neighboring countries.

He stressed the need for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the areas of trade, investment and energy for mutual benefits and both the countries have to work together to resolve the problems being faced by the Ummah.

Ambassador of Iran Mehdi Honardoost said Iran considers Pakistan as its partner for peace in the region.

He said Iranian leadership and government are keen to strengthen relations with Pakistan.

Iranian Ambassador appreciated Pakistan's role for promoting unity among Muslim countries.

He also extended invitation to the Speaker to attend 2nd Speakers Conference in Tehran on 7-8 December.

Meanwhile talking to Ambassador of Turkey Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Asad Qaiser said heart of the people of Pakistan and Turkey beat together and both brotherly Muslims countries always stood together in times of need.

He said Pakistan and Turkey are tied in bonds of common religion, culture and history.

He said China, Pakistan Economic Corridor will be beneficial for all the countries of the region.

The Speaker also invited Turkey to take part CPEC Projects. Ambassador of Turkey Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, said that his country is committed to further strengthening existing relations.

He also extended invitation to Speaker to attend 2nd League of Parliamentarian Conference for Al-Quds which will be held on 14th of next month in Istanbul.
