Work on Batkhela grid station formally starts in Malakand

PESHAWAR: Practical work on Batkhela grid station approved by the Federal Government to address problem of low voltage and energy shortfall in Malakand district was formally started on Wednesday.

PMLN General Secretary Malakand Chapter, Sajjad Khan inaugurated work on the electricity grid station at Batkhela, main town of Malakand District during a function attended by people and office bearers of PMLN in large number.

Speaking on the occasion, Sajjad Khan said Batkhela grid station was yet another gift of PMLN for people of KP that would immensely help address problems of low voltage and load shedding in the entire district.

He said work on the project was swiftly underway and would be completed within stipulated time. He said PMLN has fulfilled its promise of eradication of load shedding and that demand-supply gap of energy as announced by Wapda was ended.

Sajjad said ending of problem of energy shortfall was the biggest achievement of PMLN government, saying surplus energy would help promote industries, business and commerce activities besides bolstering infant industries in the country.

Veteran PMLN leader Bakht Karam and WADPA SDO Hazrat Hussain and others also addressed the function.
