What will China do if Trump quits Iran nuclear deal?

TEHRAN ( IRNA )– Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said Tuesday that China will remain committed to implementation of Iran nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“China will remain in close contact with all relevant parties and continue upholding and implementing the JCPOA with an objective, impartial and responsible attitude,” Shuang said in regular press conference.

This is while; US President Donald Trump will announce his decision on Iran nuclear deal Tuesday night.

The US administration has done a great deal last year to kill Iran nuclear deal.

Trump was initially expected to announce his decision regarding suspending sanctions against Iran and continuing the implementation of the JCPOA on May 12.

“The JCPOA is a multilateral agreement reached by the P5+1, the European Union and Iran through negotiations and endorsed by the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, Shuang said reiterating that China has made clear its stance on the Iran Deal before.”

“Under the current circumstances, ensuring the integrity and sanctity of the JCPOA is conducive to upholding the international non-proliferation regime and promoting the peace and stability in the Middle East,” he added.

He went on to say “All relevant parties should step up dialogue and coordination, properly patch up differences and continue fulfilling their obligations in a faithful manner.”

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed eleven times Iran's commitment to the landmark July 2015 international deal.
