Final Date for General Elections 2018 revealed: Sources

ISLAMABAD - Election Commission of Pakistan has reportedly suggested July 25 as the date for holding the General Elections 2018. A summary to this would be sent to President of Pakistan in coming days.

Spokesperson Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Altaf Khan says all is set to hold general elections in the country. ECP <link> has finalised delimitation, appointed Returning Officers and all other important milestones have been achieved for the General Elections.

He was speaking in Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs programme on Tuesday morning.

The spokesperson said the Commission staff is focusing to finalize arrangements and emphasis is being laid on facilities especially for disabled persons.

He said that a physical survey was launched across the country to prepare report pertaining to missing facilities.

The spokesperson said the Commission has sent letters to all Chief Ministers to observe the law and order situation during the upcoming general elections.
