SC directs for legislation to cope with Coronavirus

ISLAMABAD ,A four member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmad has directed for legislation at the national level to cope with Coronavirus. Hearing a suo mottu notice regarding Coronavirus in Islamabad today, the apex court withdrew its earlier order of opening of markets on Saturday and Sunday.

The bench said the order was in the context of Eidul fitr. It is the responsibility of the provincial governments to take decisions regarding opening of the markets and shops. The court has also taken notice of the damage caused by locusts.
