WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump says he might invite North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Washington if their next week summit was successful.
Speaking at a news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the White House, he however said he would quit the talks if it do not go well and would ramp up U.S. sanctions pressure on North Korea.
Donal Trump also reiterated the prospect of signing an agreement with the North Korean leader during the summit to end the 1950-53 Korean War, which was concluded only with a truce, not a peace treaty.
