Solid progress made in Pakistan US strained ties: sources

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and United States of America has promised to reduce tensions during high-level contacts between their political and military leaders.

In order to retain confidence, both sides have agreed upon step-by-step relaxation in the restrictions imposed on each other.

Solid progress between the relations of Pakistan and the United States is expected this month.

According to diplomatic sources, both the countries will ease the restrictions forced on the diplomats.

It is pertinent to mention here that US imposed travel restrictions on Pakistani diplomats on May 11 following which the Foreign Office announced to restrict the movement of US envoys.

Earlier, United States vice-president Mike Pence telephoned caretaker PM Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk to felicitate him on assuming office as interim premier.

As per details garnered, both aforementioned dignitaries agreed on further cementing Pak-US relations and vowed to work together to restore peace in war-torn Afghanistan.
