World should take notice of Modi's policies in IOJ&K: Afridi July 08, 2020

ISLAMABAD-Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi has said India is trying to instigate the entire globe by initiating anti-humanity policies repugnant to the fundamental human rights.

Addressing a conference in Islamabad this afternoon (Wednesday) on 'New Domicile Law in Occupied Kashmir', he said the world community should take notice of Modi's fascist policies in the held valley.

He said the international community should break its silence and deliver a strong message to Modi to stop oppression in the occupied Kashmir as any untoward incident can jeopardize peace in the region.

Shehryar Afridi said people of occupied Kashmir have been under strict and inhuman lockdown by the Indian security forces for the last over 227 days.

He said Kashmiris have been facing the challenge of COVID-19 as well as the Indian oppression in difficult times, but the world is keeping mum in a bid to protect its economic interests instead of standing for humanity.

The Chairman said all the religions and the constitutions of the world, including UN Charter, are unanimous to protect human rights and respect humanity, but this is not the case when it comes to the Indian occupied Kashmir.
