"I love Pakistan" tweet from Abishek Bachan sparks controversy

NEW DELHI - Bollywood’s social media accounts are under the radar of an international hacking ring, as just a day after actor Anupam Kher’s twitter account was taken over by hackers, Abhishek Bachchan twitter also became the prey to the hackers, followed by a pro-Pakistani tweet.

Abhishek’s twitter handle was changed to ‘JuniorBachchana’ from ‘JuniorBachchan’ as soon as the hackers took over his account. According to media reports, a Turkish Cyber Army is behind all these hacking incidents.

The Cyber Army then declared through his account that they have also gained unauthorized access of other celebrity’s accounts like ‘Airlift’ actress Nimrat Kaur and Pritish Nandy. This Turkey-based cyber group called ‘Ayyildiz Tim’ has also hacked twitter accounts of Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi, actor Anupam Kher, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav and Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta, according to PTI.

One of Abhishek’s tweet read, “Your account has been hacked by the Turkish cyber army Ayyildiz Tim. Your DM correspondence and important data have been captured! Turkiye and Pakistan (heart emoji).”

Soon after Abhishek’s account was recovered, he deleted the tweets and wrote about the hacking incidents thanking India’s Twitter for helping him retrieve his original handle.

Yes, yes my account got hacked. Quite chuffed that they thought me interesting enough actually ????. All sorted out now and back to normal. Well…. As normal as it can get. ???? Thank you for your concern.
