Farooq Sattar to exclude Amir Khan group from senate candidates list

KARACHI: MQM Pakistan chairman Farooq Sattar is likely to delete the Amir Khan Group from the list of candidates for the Senate elections.
Sources said that the party is likely to delete Kamran Tessori from the list. “More names have been proposed for the candidates. Ahmed Chanoy, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor and Ansar Naqvi are likely to get the tickets,” he added.
However, the MQM Pakistan will announce the female candidate tomorrow.
Khwaja Izharul Hassan, the Leader of Opposition in the Provincial Assembly, said splitting the party over a single Senate seat would be a shame.
Farooq Sattar and Amir Khan, meanwhile, failed to reach consensus on Senate tickets. Both prepared to start a second round of consultation with their supporters.
Party sources have said the dispute is about award of a ticket to Kamran Tessori.APP
