In a good news, Pakistan seek $2 billion investment from the leading Islamic country

ISLAMABAD - The government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to develop Tourism Cities on Egyptian pattern in potential areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to give the industry a new headway.

Chairman National Tourism Coordination Board, Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari told APP that the plan, after its materialization, would have significant impact to attract foreign tourists.

He said we are in consultations with an Egyptian company for materializing this initiative as soon as possible.

The Chairman said in the first phase, potential cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be the target. He said Nathia Gali and Khushab are among top most choices to be transformed into tourism cities.

Zulfi Bukhari said Executive Chairman of Egyptian company Orascom Telecom Media and Technology, Naguib Sawiris recently held meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and expressed the keenness to invest in diverse fields like mining, tourism, low and high cost housing units and micro banking.

He said around two billion dollars investment is expected from the Egyptian company in multiple sectors.
