US to impose 25pc tariffs on another $16b on Chinese goods

WASHINGTON: The United States has decided to impose 25 per cent tariffs on another 16 billion dollars on Chinese goods from 23rd of this month.
The US Trade Representative said it published a final tariff list targeting 279 imported products.
The action by US President Donald Trump is another escalation in ongoing trade war with China.
Trump administration wants to put pressure on China to negotiate trade concessions after imposing tariffs on 34 billion dollars in goods last month.
China has vowed to retaliate to an equal degree.
