Germany Navy Chief desirous of enhancing defence ties with Pakistan Navy

BERLIN: Germany has appreciated the role and contributions of Pakistan in spearheading various initiatives for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The appreciation came from German Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Ruehle and German Naval Chief, Vice Admiral Andreas Krause during their meeting with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah in Berlin.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral defence ties, including bilateral naval collaboration, Maritime Security and Stability, Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan, Counter Piracy Operations, drug-trafficking and various avenues to enhance inter-operability between Pakistan and German Navy.
They agreed to further enhance interaction between the two countries in diverse fields of training, mutual visits and defence collaboration.
The Naval Chief also highlighted Pakistan’s commitment and performance in fight against terrorism in general and Pakistan Navy’s efforts for maintaining regional peace and security in particular.
