Punjab Rangers action in Kasur, two smugglers killed and six injured


KASUR: Two smugglers were shootout while six arrested in injured conditions by Punjab Rangers here at today (Friday) in Kasur and recovered a large quantity of drugs from their possession.


As per details, Punjab Rangers conducted raid in Kasur Sector on tip-off intelligence and recovered drugs worth millions while two accused were shootout in exchange of firing.

 

According to Rangers Spokesperson, when Rangers tried to arrest the accused they started indiscriminate firing on Rangers, in response, Rangers personnel opened fire and killed two accused. Other four accomplice of dead smugglers tried to flee the scene but they have been arrested by Rangers in injured condition.

 

Rangers Spokesperson further added that 16 kg heroin and 230 bottles of Indian wine have also been recovered from their possession while worth of recovered heroin is more than Rs. 6 crores.
