Only PM and President can address nation on PTV: Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD: While rejecting the demand of PTI, Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid said that only PM and President of Pakistan have the right to address nation on PTV.
While talking to a private TV Channel, he said that every member of National Assembly would demand to address nation on PTV if Imran Khan is allowed by government to address nation on PTV.
He made it clear that proceeding of National Assembly and Senate is broadcasted on PTV after the permission of Speaker and Chairman Senate while both government and opposition is given an equal coverage at PTV.
Imran Khan's address and press conference were broadcasted by all private and government channels while it is only a political gimmick of Imran to address nation on PTV.
On the other hand, opposition leaders justified Imran's demand to address nation saying that opposition should also be given a right to address nation on PTV.
Khurshid Shah said that speeches of opposition leaders should be broadcasted live on PTV so Imran Khan should be allowed to address nation on PTV. Sheikh Rashid also raised his voice in favour of Imran saying that Pakistan Television is a national institution and runs by taxes of nation.
Opposition also threatened government to stage protest if Imran Khan not allowed to address nation on PTV.
