PCB seek $3 million out of court settlement
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Cricket Board seek $3 million out of court settlement over broadcasting dispute with the broadcasters.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the broadcasters have reached an out-of-court settlement on a three million dollar fee issue related to the Pakistan and West Indies three-match T20 International (T20I) series held in April 2018.
Since the T20I series was not originally a part of the International Cricket Council (ICC)'s Future Tour Programme, the PCB demanded a separate fee of three million dollar from the broadcasters for it. However, the broadcasters refused to pay the amount.
The issue was also discussed in the Board of Governors (BOG) meeting held in February, earlier this year.
The former PCB chairman Najam Sethi had already issued an invoice regarding the fee before giving his resignation; hence the matter needed to be resolved.
