LAHORE - Anti encroachment operation in Lahore division has turned out to be a big success for the authorities as land worth billions of rupees has been retrieved in few days of operation.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar on Sunday has chaired a high level meeting in Lahore to review the progress on the ongoing crackdown against encroachment and land grabbers.
The Chief Minister has been briefed in the meeting that 250 acre of land worth RS 7 billion has been retrieved in the four districts of the Lahore division.
The Punjab CM expressed his satisfaction over the so-far progress on the anti-encroachment drive and praised the performance of the staff.
Addressing the meeting, he said that retrieval of 250 acre of land worth billions of rupees within just couple of days was the result of excellent coordination and team work of the concerned departments.
