CM Punjab reviews progress on ongoing crackdown against encroachments

A high level meeting, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar, was held in Lahore to review the progress on the ongoing crackdown against encroachments and qabza mafia.
The Chief Minister was briefed in the meeting that 250 acre of land worth seven billion rupees has been retrieved in the four districts of the Lahore division.
The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction over the so-far progress on the anti-encroachment drive and praised the performance of the staff.
Addressing the meeting, he said that retrieval of 250 acre of land worth billions of rupees within just couple of day is the result of excellent coordination and team work of the concerned departments.
It was decided in the meeting to establish ant-encroachments cells in the offices of the deputy commissioners in the each district of the province.
Sardar Usman Buzdar directed to constitute a steering committee led by Provincial Minister Mian Mahmood-ud-Rashid to monitor the ongoing operation against encroachments, illegal construction and qabza mafia.
