Pakistan’s T20I captain Babar Azam has set a new record after his heroic innings against Australia in the 2nd T20I.
Babar Azam has topped the list for most half-centuries for Pakistan and surpassed Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal after scoring 50 from 38 balls.
The right-arm stylistic batsman now has 13 half-centuries and 1 century in the 35 T20Is. He also has the highest average in the T20 international with 51.81.

After being appointed as the captain of Pakistan’s T20 team, Babar Azam has started off exceptionally well. He has single-handedly tried to steer Pakistan towards victory but has lacked support from likes of Fakhar Zaman and other batsmen.
It is because of the exceptional performances he is currently ranked as the number one batsman in T20Is as well.
