Navjot Singh Sidhu breaks silence over attending the Kartarpur corridor opening ceremony

LAHORE - Former cricketer and acquaintance of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Navjot Singh Sidhu breaks silence over attending the Kartarpur corridor opening ceremony. Sidhu has confirmed his attendance at inaugural ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor. Reportedly, Sidhu contacted Senator Faisal Javed and confirmed his participation at inaugural ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor on November 9.

“I am thankful to government of Pakistan and especially Prime Minister Imran Khan for inviting me. I am really looking forward to the event,” Sidhu said.

Senator Faisal Javed said, “We are ready to welcome and host Navjot Sidhu and other fellows of Sikh community from around the world.”

Navjot Singh Sidhu was awaiting permission from India’s External Ministry to visit Pakistan.

Earlier, Senator Faisal had formally extended invitation to former Indian cricketer to attend the inaugural ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor which he accepted.

Navjot Sidhu had said that he was thankful to PM Imran for inviting him on the historical inaugural ceremony.
