Why Chairman NAB left for urgent China visit?

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Qamar Zaman Chaudhry left here for official visit to China on Monday.

He has been invited by Minister for Supervision and Inspection of China, Huang Shuxian. During his visit, Pakistan and China would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation on matters carried with efforts to weed out corruption.

The MoU is specially significant in the backdrop of increasing economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and China with  resolve by both the governments to work in a fair, impartial and corruption free environment.

In a statement issued before his departure, the Chairman NAB said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with China.

The long-standing ties between the two countries have been mutually supportive.

He said a close identity of views and mutual interests remain hallmark of bilateral ties, hoping that cooperation between the two friendly countries in anti-corruption work would be further enhanced.
