Pak-Bahrain bilateral ties inch closer

ISLAMABAD (APP): Pakistan's Ambassador to Bahrain, Javed Malik on Sunday said that relations between Pakistan and Bahrain will receive a renewed boost as Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq starts a three day official visit to the Kingdom accompanied by a delegation of Parliamentarians.

Pak-Bahrain to consolidate fraternal ties  

Speaking about the visit Javed Malik said that the visit was being held on the invitation Ahmed Ebrahim Al Mullah the Speaker of Council of Representatives of Bahrain, and will be instrumental in consolidating, upgrading and expanding the close fraternal relations between the governments and the people of both countries.

The Speaker National Assembly will have bilateral meetings with his counterpart, Ahmed Ebrahim Al Mullah as well as the Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, a message received here from Bahrain said.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will also attend a session of the Bahraini Parliament.

Pakistan-Bahrain to expand bilateral  cooperation  

The Ambassador welcomed the establishment of Pakistan- Bahrain Joint Parliamentary Friendship Group, which will also meet with the Speaker and discuss ways to further expand Parliamentary linkages between both countries.

Speaking about the high level meetings with the Bahraini leadership, Ambassador Javed Malik said that, the Speaker National Assembly will meet with King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and re-iterate Pakistan's commitment to strong, brotherly and wide-ranging relations between both countries and highlight Pakistan's on-going efforts to boost our ties with Bahrain and the GCC countries.

The Speaker will also meet with the Minister of Interior Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa and other Ministers during his visit.

The Speaker of Council of Representatives and the Chairman of Shura Council will host luncheon and dinners for Pakistani Parliamentarians to express their warm welcome and the high regards that Bahrain has for Pakistan.

Ambassador Javed Malik said that Pakistan values its relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries, and the prevailing regional geo-strategic developments make it even more important for top level leadership of both countries to maintain regular interactions, and therefore this visit would be vital for maintaining Pakistan's strong ties with GCC countries.

The Embassy of Pakistan will also arrange a community reception which will also provide an opportunity for members of Pakistani community to meet and interact with the Speaker and the accompanying delegation, said Ambassador Javed Malik.

The Parliamentary delegation will include MNAs Muhammad Ijaz Ul Haq, Muhammad Rasheed, Dr. Shazia Sobia, Ms. Shahnaz Salim Malik, Ms. Aisha Syed, Sultan Mahmood Hanjra, Muzzamil Qureshi and Faqir Sher Bilalani.
