Responsibility claimed for deadly attacks in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL - Responsibility has been claimed for deadly attacks in eastern Afghanistan by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack on a private construction firm in eastern Nangarhar province.

Amaq News Agency, the pro-ISIS media outlet reported that the attack was carried out by militants affiliated with Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group, Khaama Press has reported.

According to reports, at least 16 people lost their lives during the attack which was carried out in the outskirts of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar.

The media office of Nangarhar had earlier reported that 11 workers of EBE Construction Firm lost their lives in the attack and 9 others have sustained injuries.
