Pakistan Foreign Minister holds important phone call with his Japanese counterpart

*ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday telephoned his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono, to discuss Indo-Pak escalation and overall situation of the region.*
In telephonic conversation, Qureshi apprised Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono about steps taken by Islamabad to defuse tensions between both the neighbour countries.
“Pakistan is a peace loving country and desires for enduring peace and stability in the region”, FM contented.
He said a Pakistani delegation will leave for India on March 14 to attend talks over Kartarpur crossing.
Recalling Pakistan’s initiatives, the FM said that Islamabad has decided to send back its ambassador to New Delhi, sooner.
Meanwhile, the Japanese FM appreciated PM Imran Khan decision of freeing captured Indian Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman as peace gesture.
Taro Kono urged both the countries [Pakistan and India] to resolve their issues through holding negotiations.
India continuing to react aggressively despite Pakistan’s peace efforts, as recently Pakistan Navy had detected its submarine and successfully foiled its bid to intrude into the Pakistani waters.
The situation between the neighbouring countries turned hostile in a tit-for-tat airstrikes following the Pulwama attack that killed over 40 Indian troops in occupied Kashmir on Feb 14.
